YRC Plans to Cut Several Hundred Non-Union Jobs
YRC Worldwide plans to cut several hundred non-union jobs as freight demand declines, Bloomberg reported Friday.
The less-than-truckload carrier will make cuts across the country from its workforce of about 60,000, Bloomberg said, citing YRC Chief Executive Officer Bill Zollars.
YRC, which returned to profitability in the second quarter after two consecutive losses, has also shuffled management of its freight units in the past year.

You got it caddy one of the biggest and most arrogant a**holes around. He was the one who told the 710 and 705 guys going out to Joliet on the transfer that this was his terminal and his contract and if we dont like it dont go. I hope he can pawn his pinky ring for some extra cash. 
Neil gone now that is a bright spot in a dreary storm , about time they started to cut the fat from the top, instead of always taking it from the actual people who perform the jobs that makes profits for these companys. Even though they still went after labor once again , soon we wont have to worry about getting one more , no one will be around except for Bill Z to deliver it.

Saw Neal L Friday leaving the terminial about the same time he does every Friday did not seem to be upset got into the company car and drove off same as every Friday,usually when they fire someone they are escorted out the door.
Could be they did not get him this time.

Hey Lumper, I agree with you on the newbie but I do feel for the other 2 stewards I know for a fact they go in there everyday to tell Dicky they are violating the contract, and yet the local does nothing about it i.e layoffs with OT over the formulated amount sending jr men to the street before sr men and I can go on and on as Im sure you know. I personally think the local should tell the company that if you do it again were walking out, because the company will keep doing what they are doing because theres no compensation given. This was the 2nd time they laid men off with OT being over and a week and a half later they iron it out bring the men back with no back pay. Im a teamster always cook with gas charcoal is to much work.
