R&L | New hires getting time and a half......????

huh what, isn't that also state law in CA? i remember drivers from CA stating the same thing on forums where this isn't the norm. if you don't mind me asking, what is the starting rate for a new hire at R+L?

I'm not sure about California's OT laws.

Starting here is something like $15.90, but I don't know of anyone starting at that. They tell us we are started at a 3 year rate of about $18. I think thats just to try to make us feel better. 2 years ago, they were starting drivers out around $19.50. Hell, $19.50 is about our topout now.

We all know Kommifornia is a very busy area for freight, so their scale may be comparable to the northeast. If Kommifornia has such a law the company may have made the scale lower to compensate for that.
