There will be a new terminal in atlanta opening up in jan on the west side.Supposed to be like the new pendergrass terminal on the north side.Now there will be 3 terminals in that region very close to each other.
 
Wouldn't that be more expensive for the Company? Three terminals with there normal costs? One big one would cost less? Wouldn't it?
 
the new one will be in lithia springs out west of six flags theme park.having a west altanta will only increase capacity in the atlanta area.just based on pro numbers atlanta far surpasses all the other terminals in numbers of outbound shipments and west atlanta is really industrial from what i saw when we visited there.every building has a cost,and needs freight to pay for it so the sales dept will have to step up the sales in the area and will probably do a very fine job.
 
Just the travel time to get around Atlanta will save enough to pay for the terminal. The original ATL terminal is a pretty big terminal and will remain a break bulk I'm sure.
