After departing from J8 Cincinnati I noticed that we have drivers that live on the property in the own vans/camper..And was told they are on bid runs also...Where does must live within a commuting distance come into play ? :chairshot:

Like other "catch 22's" in Jevic's secret operational manual, being required to live within a commuting distance depends upon who you are, who you know, who likes/dislikes you, and frankly, whether "They" want you on that bid run, or local, or regional position.

Oh, and the best one of all: When you bid on a shuttle/relay run, you must take a 4 cpm cut in pay, since you will be nothing more than a wheel-holder. If you already are on a shuttle run, and were grandfathered in @ your old rate, should you decide you want to change runs, say for a day shuttle as opposed to a nite run, then you have to take the pay cut.

Whatever happened to the idea that senior drivers should be rewarded for their years of service and loyalty to the company? And "Driver Relations"-WOW! Now that's an oxymoron!-wonders why Jevic can't get or retain qualified, experienced drivers!!! :duh:
