3000 3500 milked every week with 8 to 15 hours on the clockBeen seeing all kinds of new accounts hitting the slab as well.
Yea noticed Hoffman is back. Was told we are on a 30 day trail. We've hauled their frt for ever (red shrink wrapped pallets).Been seeing all kinds of new accounts hitting the slab as well.
But is it profitable freight? That is the real question.Been seeing all kinds of new accounts hitting the slab as well.
I remember back in the early '70's when the Teamsters were still a "brotherhood". Back then I was working night outbound dock at All American Fright Lines (MSP). Whenever we had people laid off, we refused all overtime until those that were laid off were called back. Not anymore now though. It's all "dog eat dog" - take all the OT you can - screw the junior guys that are laid off.Getting 17 hours OT a week easy while passing on extra work.
Are there terminals with guys laid off?I remember back in the early '70's when the Teamsters were still a "brotherhood". I heard a rumor that they laid off thirty guys Friday from the road board, the rumor I heard was three from Decatur and I don't know where the rest were from. But they are still hiring at other barns, we had a new driver out with the mentor this week starting on road next week. Are there terminals with guys laid off?
We are hiring anything with a heartbeat. And they have a posting asking linehaul drivers if they want a day off due to lack of freight.I heard a rumor that they laid off thirty guys Friday from the road board, the rumor I heard was three from Decatur and I don't know where the rest were from. What good does all this O.T. do you when you are never home and when you die, they don't throw all that O.T. cash in the casket with you !! Hoffa & CSPF keeps it and has a big union convention out in Vegas with your O.T. money and your pension money paid in under your name that's NOT yours when you die !! B.S. ponzi scam pension fund !!
