Moving a trailer in the yard I made an extreme left turn, red air line stretched to the max, then bam, it came loose and blasted thru back window of truck cab and hit me in the jaw.
Safety charged me with a preventable accident.
My question: Is the safety man's pay connected in any way to how many preventable or non-preventable accidents happen? In other words, if his good work reduces non-preventable accidents, does he recieve more money. If so, it would stand to reason that he would declare accidents that are on the bubble ( on the line or a wobbler) as preventable and he would make more money. This could be a conflict of interest?
