SAIA | procedure for setting vacation time has changed

Instead of Central scheduling 2009 vacation time,now it's the individual terminals. I've seem two versions of the same company letter outlining how employee senority will be used to determine who will pick first. One large terminal uses a version that separates city from linehaul and then uses senority to assign picking order within each group. Another version lumps city and linehaul together into one group, then date of hire is used to line everyone up.
What do you think?

We tested that last year. Preference was given by company senority. There could only be 2 city drivers and one linehaul off on a particular day, though there have been as many as 3 linehaul off. It seemed to work out well.

What I hate about the vacation request at the beginning of the year!! I have no idea right now when I want to take off!!

i'd like to take the month of December off. Something always happens during this month to my wife. I told her one year we would just go hide in a corner till January.
