I was reading a thread in the Roadway forum named Glenn Moore and it got me thinking about the rider the IBT had us vote on in the late 80's or early 90's about a truckload rider. I did a search on Google and found this link from 1983, it reminded me of how hard we have fought to keep anything that we are currently enjoying. It has been an incredible fight in an environment of
intense compitition and corprate greed. I guess we just haven't done that badly. We could have done better but what concession not given would have been the one to break the camels back. I haven't found the rider proposal yet. But if we would have passed it would we have a large Truckload group of Teamsters now.
