East employees...when you are on short term disability...do your checks get direct deposited like you regular payroll check, or do you receive a regular check you have to take to the bank?
Unless they have changed it in the past couple years its NOT direct deposited, it comes with the other checks to your domicile and has to be taken to the bank, It may be different now but thats how it was in the past.
Just came off STD about a month ago. They will not direct deposit the check. They cut a hard check that had to be taken to the bank. They told me that they do that so that they can see you face to face every week. When I did not go in to pick up my check for three weeks they started calling my home.
