MOUNT OLIVE — A woman suffered lacerations to her face when ice fell off a truck in front of her and went through the windshield on Route 80 west Monday afternoon, according to State Police.
At about 2:09 p.m. Monday, a sheet of ice fell off a box truck and went through the windshield of her a Acura traveling behind, State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman said.
The passenger in the 2001 red Acura — Judy Danback, 54, of Hackettstown — was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for lacerations to her face, Grossman said.

Her husband, and driver of the Acura — Gary Danback, 67 — had a cut on his finger, Grossman said.
Steven Rowe, 54, of Roseto, Pa., the driver of the white 2004 Chevrolet box truck, was issued a summons for failure to remove snow and ice from the vehicle, Grossman said.
