What happens to the money paid in by someone who dies before they can collect or doesn't collect much before they buy it? Is it just a freebie for uncle Sam?

Ha ha I kinda figured that and yes I too agree there are too many who feel they are entitled to a free ride on our dime. Many years ago my ex father in law became disabled after a massive heart attack that left him brain damaged. Benefits were repeatedly denied and after a year or so his wife finally took it to a local congressman and low and behold after he got a piece of someone's ass in Washington they couldn't get his money to him fast enough. Very sad someone who legitimately needed it couldn't get it through the normal process yet money is handed out freely to able bodied bums.

I know a guy that had half his brain removed and had to sue for disability.

Doesn't surprise me and it's kinda scary because I may be getting to test those waters myself in a few months.
