CBS is a propaganda arm of the left. Don't believe what you are seeing but believe what i am saying nonsense. Where im at people are broke and paying more for groceries and lumber and near $3 a gallon for gas. People not going out to eat because there is no extra money. One news station said inflation aint that bad well i guess not if you are one of the rich but the working class is getting hammered. They are going up on property taxes because the say property is worth 50 thousand plus more than what it actually is which in turn raises your home owners insurance to cover it. That news story is propaganda bullcrap.

Check annual inflation rates since 2009, or turn of the century for that matter. It had to pop at sometime. Low interest rates for the last ten years has caused a memory lapse.

I judge the economy by stocks and stock sectors.
Not all companies are listed as you know but it
gives me a sense of what's going on in combination
with Fed Rates. Just my opinion....

I used to judge the economy by the market as well. With so many private companies plus the explosion of Private Equity (Black Rock) mega corporations it has become difficult.
I'm not sure of the best KPI's any more...

People are buying less because what they do buy is costing so much. Inflation is breaking the country.

Just got a notice of a price increase on my supplemental Insurance I have through the Teamsters.. About $25 a month and the letter said this is tied to inflation in the medical community.. Come June it will raise again ..

Free yourself from interest slavery and watch the economic miracle!

"Feder attempted to interest the Munich Soviet in his ideas for banking reform, but in good Marxist fashion, this fell on deaf ears. It was left to the embryonic National Socialist group to see in Feder's ideas the means of achieving both freedom from debt-bondage and the means by which the state could assume its prime duty to issue the community's own credit, limited only by its productivity and creativity."

As a Child I had a relative who was in a position to make things happen in the bad old days of the 70's

One day I picked up a 100 dollar Silver Certificate Note which is US Legal Tender redeemable in Silver until 1970 or so and asked the Relative about it.

What with the prices in those days it was like having about 820.00 Federal Reserve 2023 dollars in my hand. To him its no problem. So he taught me about it,

Today that same dollar bill in good condition is worth and will fetch a sum almost more than what inflation took away since that year. In the realm of 10,000 dollars give or take.

Seeing what I am seeing now, I decided to purchase Silver Ounces and take physical possession. At some point a few years from now when the spread falls from 80 to one against Gold back to its more natural 19 to one, its going to be valuable. Even more so as the greenies insist on their crap consuming what little silver there is above annual production on the earth.

As far as shortages of anything and everything? I no longer give a damn. Except for one problem. TR complains regularly as new hires they are offered 46 cents to drive over the road. My last month in 2001 was almost 50 cents a mile. I was overflowing in dollars and with the deductions against the meal Perdiem generated thousands in savings for 2002 that year.

Wife and I was paid for miles run a rate that came out to 34 cents for each of us that year as filed. Theres no money in trucking. Never has been never will be. That summer we quit FFE Blood Plasma work and moved onto high dollar medicines locally out of Memphis. She got out of trucking first and I was not long behind. Theres still no money in it.
