Thanks for that post. I am waiting for a similiar letter to arrive from the New England Fund. If the pension funds are taking matters into their own hands, then what the hell is the sense of us members voting on pension deferrals? Does anyone really think if we vote No that YRCW will come up with all the $ due to the funds to get caught up and then keep making payments? If they can't pay our pension contributions during the "busy" freight season, then how will YRCW pay them through the winter? We can vote No and still have the pension funds kick YRCW out for non-payment, thus freezing our accruals. I think it might be time for an "informational" picket to form outside YRCW HQ to turn up the heat.
