Yellow | Teamster blasting Rush Limbaugh

It does not take a genius to figure out why talk show hosts like Rush and Savage have an audience. A great majority of Americans are sick and tired of big government and the way we are losing our country. Liberal radio has about 9% of the market and left wing broadcasts like Air America failed miserably within months of their debut. The Obama administration would strip conservative radio stations of their FCC licenses in a heartbeat
if they could. I value my Teamster job and all the benefits but I value my country and our constitution FAR MORE!
 
Just because someone listens to Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage or Glen Beck doesn't mean that they agree with "all" of their views. I get the feeling had he been listening to Rachael Maddow or Keith Olbermann you would have made a new friend. Any way, some people listen to both sides and formulate their own opinions based on the information they receive, and who they believe to be more credible. I for one would have to "lean" towards the recovering drug addict. I will admit I don't really listen to Maddow or Olbermann much, but that's just because their shows suck. And I didn't know Air America was even still around. There is a reason why they have failed miserably and have no viewership , no one wants to listen to their tilted hate filled spew.

Does the Driver realize his union is a capitalist enterprise? Does he realize being organized is how he becomes a shareholder in the organization, and that his labor IS capital? Does he not see that the employer is organized. There is an entire management team to evaluate how he is treated. They work together to achieve their ends. So why is his cooperating with his fellow Teamsters any different? Why should every employee have to fight alone when the company is all together about scraping whatever expenses they can away from the employee? It defies logic, but there it is.

Our union is not a capitalistic enterprise. If anything, it is a clearer example of a socialist enterprise. It is the collective supporting our leadership with the dues we pay.
Quite frankly, had we held our own Teamster Management more accountable, similar to a business that we would reward with our on going business, we would not be in the hole we are in.
A really good example of this was when Hoffa increased the retirement right before the most recent election. The pension has been broken since the market collapse of 2002, but he didn't act in the best interest of the union but in the best interest of his administration by increasing the benefits when the money just was not there.
You couldn't get away with this in the marketplace.
 
I would rather stick a knitting needle through my left ear and pull it out of my right ear, then listen to Lynn Samuels. Left/Liberal talk shows are boring. They can't seem to complete a sentence without involving the F bomb. Why?, I don't know. I guess they try to get the college age idiots (I was one once) with that kind of talk. Doesn't impress me.
 
The beauty of listening to talk radio is that you get to hear the issue debated from all sides. When you read the newspaper or watch your evening news you get the information 'spoon-fed' to you in the manner in which your broadcaster wants it. At least with Rush and all talk radio, the issue is dissected and analyzed. And as previously posted, you don't have to believe all that you hear. Also I'd like to echo the point about the humor. Glen Beck is a genius and so is Rush. I personally don't care to get worked up over the events of our world as I realized that there really is nothing that I can do about it, but when I listen, its all about the entertainment and humor and a little about just knowing what's going on in our world.
 
My barber had Rusty on when i went to get a hair cut with my 2 grand sons, i asked him if he could tune him out till we left. He said don't you think he's funny and i replied he was not funny to me and i didn't want the boys to hear his filthy mouth and another thing i don't care for druggies. He said i understand but you won't be here long and i said your right i won't and left, i 've gotten our hair cut there for 9 years. Today he called and wanted to give me 1 free cut and i thanked him and hung up.
 
If you have listened to Rush, he has stated on numerous occasions its not the union members he has a problem with but the union officials. Hes right, they suck and could care less about you, me or the American people, just like most corporations. Its all about "their" well being. Never did understand that UAW thing about if you got laid off you still got most of your pay. Wonder why a company would agree to it.

Its probably something to do with the fact that the auto plants shut down quite frequently and most people would like to have a constant paycheck coming in. Its just like teachers that get 12 month pay versus 9 month pay, but the auto plants you can't predict something like summer time.

Ditto on the NY Times.. there is a competing teamster forum..can't mention names but same thing...you literally get attacked by the site owner or moderators or even banned for your opinion. It is a fraction of the size of TB and no new topics for days..don't know how they stay in business
