What is The Union?
The Union is the workers, united in solidarity, to provide a service to a company to help it grow in order to serve America. We desire to bring stability to the market and reduce volatility. Because if the market is volatile, then business has no idea of their cost.

Teamsters come to the bargaining table with the company to negotiate wages for different tasks. Whether it's law enforcement, teachers, or LTL drivers. We talk to figure out the best scenario to add value and a service to America. That's all it is.

Teamsters simply want a fair days pay, for a fair days work. Who can argue against that?

Why is nonunion bad?
Because as Teamsters set the standard, nonunion comes in to undercut business. And they do not care about the workers having to actually do the heavy lifting. The Teamsters on the other hand, remember the worker. And they know, if a worker cannot feed himself, the company will fail. And we have seen 9100 companies in 3 months working nonunion, without a contract in the first quarter of this year fail. Because the worker cannot live.

Do we need both union and nonunion?
I think so. It brings a spirit of competition to the market. And as problems arise, as things change, the other is there, until the other adapts.

At the end of the day, the worker must have the means to own a home and have a family. There is no wrong answer here. To each there own no matter which you prefer. But Teamsters simply come to a company, bringing innovation, a contract, with the goal of stability to the market. That need is what created The Teamsters in the first place.
