I get it was for the customer base but in the end did it help?
Wasn't is Red Star after the strike who opened up in the Southeast and had to roll it all back????
I may be thinking of someone else who was chasing revenue and it flopped. Anyway it was a long time ago

I believe it was to buy up the competition and raise the rates.

I recall neither had decent equipment and were bottom feeders.
A few short years later Red Star was closed.
Sounds like those rates hurt more than helped.

Am I correct that they opened up in NC SC GA and Florida? Then shortly after shut the new area down??
Or am I thinking of someone else.....

Red Star Express had a wildcat strike over the last remaining office girls trying to join the union.

The CEO said if you strike I’ll close the doors! The union struck Friday and the CEO closed the doors the following Monday.

Nothing to do with low rates or economic turndown…..
