But you still lost the compound interest.
Wow...you clearly don't understand any aspect of investing. Congrats! a typical Teamster lamb...or Sheepster as they're called at YRC.
But you still lost the compound interest.
I didn't state it correctly but the point is that money and any money it would have earned is lost. You clearly have more problems than me, you can't even find your truck so they put your name on the to prevent you from getting delay time. Why did you have your name on your belt? keep putting the wrong persons pants on?Actually, that's a running joke in my barn. Rumor has it that I'm old enough to climb into the wrong tractor so they put my name on the door so I wouldn't drive away in the wrong tractor.
What's your excuse for driving away in the wrong truck?
Ooops, you don't work for us. Sorry.

My TM's desk? I've been retired for 7 years. I like it when you get rattled, you come right out of the trailer park. Actually today I'm sitting by the pool contemplating on taking a ride, but I can do that anytime. Are you still sitting under your terminal managers desk?
Wish you had told me this when I had cattle, did it bass akwards, bought high, sold lowThe biggest mistake most 401 K participants make, is that they sell low and buy high. Dumb. Want to make money in the stock market? Buy low, sell high. As Billionaire Warren Buffet says: "
“Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”
When the market is down, buy buy buy. When the market is up, sell sell sell.
And most blue collar workers reverse this, because they don't get it. My hat is off to RC, while I may disagree with much of his philosophy, he does get this.

It was mainly the orphans, and those who were allowed to retired early, that put the biggest strain on the CSPF and the reason payouts from the fund had exceeded contributions starting in 1984 and the ratio of retirees to active participants crossed the threshold of one-to-one in the mid '90's, long before the crash of '08. The whole stock market debacle was nothing more than a hailmary if you will, a last ditch effort to try to save what was left.Oh, I read the whole thing. Several factors contributed.
I find this part interesting:
"Real estate investments in Las Vegas casinos and hotels once threatened the integrity of a Teamsters pension fund that the federal government wrested away from corrupt trustees and organized crime after five years of legal battles.
A quarter-century later, the professionals who replaced them—Central States Pension Fund administrators; the Goldman Sachs & Co. and Northern Trust Global Advisors fiduciaries; and Department of Labor regulators—stood watch while the financial markets accomplished what the mob had failed to: which was to smash the fund’s long-term solvency with massive money-losing investments."
Note: the Feds took control due to questionable integrity, corruption, and organized crime. BUT not because they were losing money. Organized crimerarelyalmost never loses money.
Agreed...was just trying to point out sensenomore's hypocrisy...My friend, not all Catholics are bad.
Do you actually like where our nation and the world is heading? You must be Catholic...for someone who's continually preaching about the illuminati and the new world order taking over the world, it must be hard for you to look into the mirror...just sayin'
Tax breaks aren't enough....I would think that Communist China covers more entitlements than us...isn't that communism?..and their people work for nothing.......the corporations go their because of that.................and I'm sure they'd love the whole world doing the same thing....Why wouldn't they...profits over people.......nations don't matter...borders are in the way....why not have everybody just like the Chinese? Is is the American people's fault!! How can you say it's not??
Our tax codes are broken...why?? Because our govt has to take from the producers to give to the moochers through entitlement programs...the federal Govt doesn't make money, just like the union, they take it from the producers in the form of taxes!!
Not only is the labor cheaper in other countries, the corporate tax rates are as well!! It's actually cheaper for companies to move our jobs overseas and then pay the tariffs to bring their products back them it is to produce them here in the US!! That's freakin sad!!
You wanna keep our jobs here or bring those that left back...lower the corporate tax rates and the jobs will come back...the problem them will be the moochers would still rather sit on their lazy asses while on the Govt dole (the producers) than to get a job and pay their own way!!
Corporations have bought and paid for much of the United States government over the years, and it doesn't really matter which party it is. Look at gazillionaires like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and ask yourself if the government hasn't been complicit in helping them get where they are. Tesla Motors pretty much lives on government subsidies, and I read that they haven't actually turned a profit in something like five years. And Amazon is one of the worst employers in the world, treating their warehouse staff and delivery people like robots. And neither of these men want unions to come steal their money.I think the companies corrupt politicians they own deserve l blame. The union blame comes in for giving up.....and trusting the wrong politicians.
thank you Red, you just proved the point I made earlier in the this thread. You must be Catholic...for someone who's continually preaching about the illuminati and the new world order taking over the world, it must be hard for you to look into the mirror...just sayin'
Yeah, and what point was that? I must've missed it...unless you use 2 usernames.thank you Red, you just proved the point I made earlier in the this thread.
