Well then the reporter on the video really seemed shocked.
In my opinion,speculating, it is expected that the axle assembly came to a sudden stop when hitting the bridge,as the trailer continued on.
The cars that hit the axle where probable tailgating the Semi.
Had they been back a reasonable distance they could have seen what happened & stopped.
