TransForce offers to buy Canadian trucking business Vitran

Canadian courier, transport and logistics firm TransForce is making more overtures towards consolidation in the North American trucking business.
The Montreal-based company has issued a fairly forceful offer for the Toronto-based less-than-truckload specialist Vitran Corporation at the end of last month, offering $4.50 per share.
