Yellow | Transponders

they're on there so you can bypass the arrival pole at terminals that have them. I don't know if it's to improve traffic flow in busy yards . Cause if ti is you still gotta stop at the arrival pole in CGB to throw out you trash.

At FXF we have the transponders to auto arrive us at a center, we also use the cb to get door assignments which saves time on getting the trlrs in doors and getting them broke (not all centers use the cb, then you have to walk in 1st) Some centers also have a tube system so you can shoot your bills to the dock stand or dispatch.

Well, I would assume they are only testing them in a single lane between three terminals that actually have arrival poles. (CGB, CVE, RFO) And since the eastern triple tractors are only supposed to go between CGB and CVE that minimizes the cost of installing the test equipment. as far as them keeping it quiet, there have been signs all over the Driver's room at CGB informing us of this.

Our new local driver/dock timecard badges are RFID (Radio Frequency ID) too. Starts today. As the Visa commercials say-- just pass and go. Which brings us to the Mark of the Beast Thread.:duh: ........but not on here!:biglaugh: :biglaugh: :chairshot:
