In a truck vs train battle the train always wins. Hopefully this young man will survive & be wiser in the future.
Several years back I was at a RR crossing when the arms were down for about a half hour & there were no trains for about that long. Several cars & a bob truck went around me. A number of car drivers behind me seemed mad & honked their horns because I wouldn't get out of their way. Just a few minutes before Union Pacific sent a maintenance man to correct the problem a young woman went around the arms & came within a few feet of being hit by a fast moving freight train. That stopped the rush to go across the tracks.
