step 1: jiff up, step:2 call back doctor
as requested. Sometime in future if I get a chance I will make more indepth video explaining the process. For now this will give the Yellow guys a taste of the jiff-lox world
YouTube - un-jiffing a Roadway tractor
No , I will not get covered with grease messing around with some stupid jiff thingy. I will just tell the dispatcher "Sorry Charlie , I don't/won't know how " ! Thats is what 3 axle tractors and sliding 5th wheels are for.
What's your phone number driver?:smilie_132:Believe me you will get your chance to jiff up a tractor. If you ever have a question stop and call somebody.
My advice is to take your time and don't let the jiff-loc system frustrate you. When you get mad and frustrated ,thats when that thing will hurt or kill you.
I am kind of joking around but at the same time I'm just letting you know how serious this is. These things can hurt you or somebody on the road if you do not do it properly."Shorty" out of 431, 11 long years.
Thanks for the video. First time I've seen someone remove the mud flap to jiff. I also like this cartoon, check it out. DS.

I had to call breakdown before to pull the first 5th wheel back because the dummies did'nt have a jiff bar at a customer. A small wrecker came out to winch the 5th wheel back on the frame up in Union City ,Tn. .
Oh yeah, please remember to put in the safety pin, all 8 of the of the 5th wheel lock pins on the rear 5th wheel and as many 5th wheel loch pins on the 1st 5th wheel.
FYI- Good way to get fired... A guy from MA. almost did for posting stupid things like this with company equipment in it.
P.S. this is the easy part... try adding the jiff, in the winter, on uneaven pavement, with no air in it and no chock block... 10-4?
If it don't have air, then do it to it! By the way, been there, done that! Sure glad That's All in My PAST!!!!!!
I thought a jiff lock was when I couldn't get the peanut butter open!!
