XPO | Unfortunate Job Loss

Because Joe has a drinking problem, he would be given a leave of absence to get treatment for his problem. Once the treatment facility cures his disease of alcoholism, he returns to work. Unions are great... U keep your job and cure alcoholism at the same time.

But Joe got caught by the police. How does the union protect a lawbreaker??? He can get all the treatment he wants and leave of absenses .. no license .. no job ... a union cant protect someone without a license.

The earlier post said that at the old conway you could come to work drunk......If you lose your CDL permantly, you are SOL. but a one year suspension is a different story. You would work the dock until you were reinstated.

Sorry, but didn't this thread start out with a guy that hardly ever drinks and experienced the death of someone close to him? How does a one-time dumb move become a drinking problem that can be cured?

Drivers that reported to work drunk were sent for tests you fail time off ..then you signed a piece a paper promise never to drink again .. if you relapse your done... it is stated in the old EAP ... now since the laws have changed all companies have had to change policies because of insurance reasons and CSA

You need to prove that.

One particular trucker/inbound dockworker used to drink vodka in the locker room at xco. He is no longer with the company, but talk about bold! He would pass out in there on the bench! True idiot. Ironically he was let go for other reasons......theft. Diesel Dummy..........
