This is an interesting story, If you listen to the story the reporter says that if you travel 55 mph verses 65 mph over the two mile stretch of the construction zone you use 20 extra seconds. However the highway patrol want's trucks to go 15 miles out of route to avoid this construction zone. Makes you wonder.
Sounds to me this is like most cases,where a few spoil it for the rest.
If everyone traveling trugh construction zones obey the lower speed limits,and share the lanes without tailgating.
Everything moves along.
But when a few truckers try to hammer down,everybody gets a bad taste for all truckers,and wish they would avoid the area altogether.
