I'm guessing that the Utility Jobs are similar to a Utility postition at YRC? What is the Pay like? How does your typical day go?

At my barn the utility driver is pretty much an on call driver that returns home with every trip. He fills in for folks that are sick, on vacation or just comes in and picks up a leftover load. It usually is a hot load that needs to go out at 3am. I think the pay is a little less than extraboard but you get to see the ball n' chain every day. That's a good thing for some and bad for others.
