I have been with the company for 5 years and 5 month. I was looking at my 401 tonight and I was kinda surprised to discover I was only 80 percent vested for the companies contribution to my account. How long does it take to be 100 percent vested ?

That is right, 6 years. My question to benefits last week was ..I left for 1 year, never did anything with my 401k, just left in the OD retirement system, so after coming back, do I start all over or will I be credited for the few years I was at OD originally? they said good question..didnt really have an answer except..If you work 1000 hours in the plan year then you can retire..? so dont know if I have been vested for 7 years or 5 years at this point. Guess I will inquire again later...
