And thats five years from the last day you work even if you're on layoff and are working extra, day to day/call in for the company you're laid off from. Thats the way it used to be.
Management here in LO told some of the guys that before Yellow, Roadway or Holland could use any 4-hour casuals, they had to use any laid off regular drivers from any other YRC company? Don't know how true this is but it might be worth checking in to. I heard it second hand but I'd still call the hall and check, you never know you might get some work to get you through the hard times. I guess it would be a preferred casual per the contract?
