You're never going to see it differently. So it matters not one bit what I type here. I do hope that someday you escape the victim mentality.

Once again, Teamsters gave back nothing. No one wrote a check to Yellow. They got paid according to the collective bargaining agreement negotiated by the union and approved by the members. An employer owes you nothing more than the agreed to compensation. The alternative is, " pay the rate or close the gate". How did that work out for you?
No Yellow Teamster was being paid slave wages. To be in the top 25% of earners, a worker must earn $95,000.00 a year. Median income in the United States is $58,000.00.

Working 40 hrs a week making $95,000.00 a year, that’s a good job. That’s $45.67hr, Yellow was paying that.

No, but gross salary was well within that range. The total hourly cost was $80.00+ including PTO and benefits, Social Security match, workers comp and unemployment insurance.

The horse may be dead but we still need to debate what to do with the carcass. Render it, stuff it, incinerate it? There are still questions that need answers.

Is that what they call "funny math"? Our hourly rate was $26.72 in my part of the world. The H&W plus "measly" 401(k) combined were about $16.50/hour on the first 40 hours/week average. The Social Security/Medicare was $2.04408/hour, and 1.5 or 2.0 factors on that for overtime and double time if we got those things. The vacation pay and other PTO for a 30 year+ employee added about 15% to those number, much less for less senioritied personnel. FUTA and other costs added a bit more. In the grand scheme, maximum $60/hour, and average amongst all the employees was considerably less. Now where on Earth are you coming up with $80?

With your Business Acumen and your connections to Jamie, I would have thought you would have moved into the Front Office and gotten those perks too!
