don't know what you do but while on the bottom, volunteer to work on Saturday and/or volunteer to work the inbound on Monday morning (if you don't go to work until late at night or evening on Monday)
thats what guys do at my barn

I'd be really curious as to what part of the country you are in. At my place, city guys are working a minimum of 60 hours a week, NOBODY is allowed a day off except for an extreme emergency, and NO vacation time will be approved untill further notice.

[/quote] hubs are staffed differently, city supplements road, so alot of newer drivers are basically dock workers. If your not new, you probably wouldn't notice.

work

Damn what shift do you work (you must be on a spotter bid)? Most of the city guys I know there are dreaming of an 8 hour day. I know for a fact most of them are workings a minimum of about 11 hours.

I have been a P&D driver here for 13 years...Last week i was sent home with 6 1/2 hrs...Told there was nothing left to do.I had no problem with that..Then sat and watched 7am guys going back out at 4pm.....(They had pre-arranged secret missions) I did have a problem with that....Happens all the time here...If i were you, i would offer to paint the dispatchers house, or wash his cars or babysit or something..Golf is also a great "in" It might even get you a 4-10 work week with a 8am start time and 100 personal days off a year.....Get in on the right side Good luck with that! :poke:

How dare you accept full-time employment and expect to work full-time hours. That would break the company for christ sakes! What's wrong with you man?
