The snowstorm that hit the midwest and eastcoast, which delayed alot of freight from getting on the road, why did ups use more contractors then extraboard drivers? Is it becuz ups doesnt like lay over runs, or they are just doing what they want to do. Drivers in cgo that are xtraboard didnt even run on wednesday, the day after the storm, they just used more contractors. Can anyone shed light on this. I need a good augh, lol alot of things they do make no sense at all

Read with highly sarcastic tone please.

It's obvious, it must have ALL been one way freight. Can't work our drivers if nothing's coming back?? Our drivers would never get back, they would be lost and cruising the country till spring. That's too much like overnite. We can't have our drivers making money, that's just CRAZY TALK.

at hrs the road guys are only working 3 days a week 4 tops. but they are looking to put on more , figure that one out .
at the rate they are going, they will have a full board of part time drivers by summer.
