XPO | 62 MPH on 70mph Roads

Yup and then you can use it on your pickup truck on the way to the uneployment office

But they are under Con-ways Insurance while pulling their trailers. Maybe they are slowed down per their operating contract.

O/O's aren't governed, they can run as fast as they want to. But, if they're smart, they are running 65 or below to save that fuel and turn that surcharge into profit.

I wouldn't want to stick one of those faster truck things on my truck, too easy to get caught. If it messes with the ECM on the truck and makes it think you are running slower, they'll figure it out when you burn so much more fuel than the next guy. And, linehaul runs in packs, too easy for someone to spot you and drop a dime. We've got one truck that pulls a lot better than the others, and it's regularly a topic for discussion in the breakroom, so a faster truck would stick out like a sore thumb.

Several drivers at od in the western regions got caught with these a few years ago all got terminated several where turned in by other drivers for passing them and a few got caught when the trucks where serviced and they downloaded the ECM when confronted all drivers involved named this device now there is memos in most terminals warning not to use it

We should be turned back up to 65,all Ltl's except Con-way are still running atleast 65,we are rolling road blocks,if it saves that much money why isn't everyone doing it?

62 is good, I would have a hard time passing you at 65

Last night I tried several times to pass another truck. He was running 60 mph, but was pulling the hills better than I was (imagine that!). I finally gave up and settled in behind him.:shift: :shift: :shift: :shift: :6792:

Same thing I thought, if it saves that much money, why havn't the other LTL'S turned their truck's down to 62. Maybe they think time is money so if we can gain 3mph over con-way we will take it? Or maybe con-way is just smarter the they are?:notworthy:

hey, i have a thought.....i run the city, they can turn all the city trucks down to 52mph, the slower i go the more money i make. And they can turn all road units up to 72mph, the faster you go the more money you make.....average the two together and you still come out with a 62 mph average, what do you think?
