XPO | Are there really cameras watching you all day?

Yup. They supposedly don't have access to the data on it unless you drive in a way as to activate it, but there is a live feed somewhere all day facing forward and the driver.

The NSA would be proud.... That's kind of creepy. I can't help the visual of some guy in his mom's basement wearing only tighty whities with a laptop, hacking in and watching me pick my nose.....

If they were I would be fired already. I always stop and the plaza at mile 56 on toll rd to release a little something something. I guess now I'll finish quicker know they are watching ;)

Just wear a ball cap along with the fake glasses and fake large nose. They will probably let you know real quick if they are watching.

You ought to stop doing that Novak, they're gonna get you for being out of uniform!!

Amazing how you don't let the lack of accurate information hinder you in any way.

I'm not quite sure where I was inaccurate. They get a "snapshot" of the incident, after the incident and... wait for it... BEFORE the incident!!! So that means the thing is running ALL THE TIME!!! I'm sure those dudes in the cubicles at drive cam or whatever it's called can access that feed anytime they want. So again, where was I inaccurate??

Exactly right Song, the thing runs constantly, always saving the last 8 seconds of your life, waiting for a reason to save it to the hard drive, to down load it over the internet latter that night. We all know how safe and secure the internet is. I'll bet before too long, somebody will find a way to hack into these cameras and be able to get a live feed.

They upload at about 2 every night. Video or no video. No live feed. Ya worry way too much. The camera will be a witness to save you one day.

Snapshot, yes.
Recording 8 seconds before "incident", yes.
Continuous loop of recording on card inside camera unit, yes.
Short video file saved when "incident" activates camera, yes.
Live feed, no.
You currently employed at Con-way, no.(Nuf said)

BTW...Do you have any comprehension of how much the bandwidth charges alone would be to have a live feed from thousands of cameras streaming audio and video 24 hours a day?

Keep believing that

I don't care either way, maybe the feeds arent streaming 24/7, but since when is a cellphone connection a one-way device?I can almost guarantee you that there is a way to access a particular camera remotely at any point. No different than watching a DOT highway camera or streaming a video on youtube.

Doesn't matter if it streams constantly, I'm with century class, I'm sure there's a way it can be accessed at a moments notice at the request of Con-way. You just keep on believing that thing is your friend. I'm sure you'll find out differently eventually.

BTW what does it matter that I don't work at Con-way anymore? I was there when they decided to put the stupid things in and went to the meetins about them. You ever gonna climb off your high horse or you gonna stay up there and defend Con-way to the death until someone cuts you and you bleed blue all over the place?

Are there really cameras in your cabs watching you drive all the time?

NO. I tried to make this a short response, but it wouldn't let me. NO.

So were you lying to defend the country or just misunderstood his question. Original question posted above, your response posted above, then your response to me saying there are in fact cameras pointed at you all day long.

BTW I'm quite glad I'm a former employee... The only reason I come to the Con-way board is for entertainment as the OD board is kinda dull. No one says much because we're all too happy to complain. That and I want to see what new scheme xgo has cooked up to make some of my friends lives even more miserable at work...
