Yellow | live to fight another day ?

Every time in the future when a new contract is negotiated, how about if the new contract passes, the "yes" voters get the pay raises and the "no" voters stay at the old rate?

WHAT PAY RAISE? Do you really think that if there was a REAL pay raise there'd be any NO voters? I wonder if the coward voters is the reason the USA is also in such a crappy state?

Ps - when are some of these genius truck drivers going to learn the difference between 'their' and 'there'? eg The Teamsters sent their drivers to their Local Halls to vote on the new MOU. But they couldn't make it there because the snow was over their heads.

We've gotten pay raises every contract negotiation from the early 1970's through the 1990's at least and yet there have been "no" votes for all of them. Get real.

when is this DAY , coming that we get to fight another DAY ??? 2018. 2019 , don't think so it will be the same old story then again , and it will be a revote to a YES vote again !!! YRC has won again !!! enjoy your bonus Welch ,Perison , Wilson , hope it covers your cost of living !!

This is the statement that confuses me the most, "Live to fight another day!" If you won't fight today, when will another day come? Let's say this thing passes (which I hope it doesn't), in 2019, YRC says we are almost there, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we need you to continue with the 15% giveback and no raises, just bonuses, will you then be glad that you get to live to fight another day?

Why are you even worried about 2018 or 2019 now? That's another discussion for if and when it happens. Deal with what we are facing today first. If your car is running badly today do you spend time being concerned about how it will run on your vacation 4 years from now?

As I said earlier, deal with today's issues and handle those in the future if and when they happen. What's so difficult to understand about that? If your daughter fell down and is bleeding do you fix the bleeding or do you concern your self with what she's wearing to the prom a few years from now? We're faced with a serious issue right now. Solve that problem and leave the possibility of a future issue to the future.

Hey - That's good advice... My daughter fell and hit her face on a stool right between the eyes. Her nose began to swell up like a balloon and she had this nasty gash right on the bridge.... funny thing... first thought through my head was - "OMG she's 4 years old and her face will be mangled for life!!" The blood dripping on the floor really didn't concern me!! - Mind you that was only my first thought and evaporated within 15 seconds as her nose continued to swell and I began to wonder if it was broken and she could breath....

Funny where we put our focus sometimes....

I like your idea of "no" voters getting the pay and benefits of the newer MOU and the yes voters getting that of the rejected MOU since they were ready to accept it. Good idea.

I think it's such a good idea that I would propose a continuation of that kind of thinking. Every time in the future when a new contract is negotiated, how about if the new contract passes, the "yes" voters get the pay raises and the "no" voters stay at the old rate? That's basically the same idea as you proposed isn't it? I'm sure then that you would go along with idea, right?
Crap Tri - why didn't you just ask him to quit if it didn't like it, like every other yes voter. GEEZ

Just taking his own logic and throwing it back at him. Trying to make him think about what he's suggesting (which I would want no part of in any case).

Just keep on posting if you get my drift! :hysterical:

Your confused, you will never get a raise again. You are already overpaid :)
