The city of Little Rock announced a few weeks ago that cameras would be set up in I30 river bridge construction zones. Police officers be set up near the cameras to stop & ticket speeders.
As much as I detest drivers who have no concern for the safety of construction workers, I don't agree with giving citations by an officer that did not witness the traffic violation. I have worked on trucks on the side of roads when motorists won't move over. Some drivers of commercial vehicles are no exception.
Several cities that had cameras to catch red light runners had to pull them down when challenged in court. Some that got tickets proved they were nowhere near that light at the time the camera supposedly caught them.
