i just had a interview for a driver position.they are running ny backround now.how long does the background check take ? how far back in your history do they go ?

the time varies. don't know how far they go back, but it's atleast10 years. as long as you didn't leave a job out, or fib anything you will be ok. hell, sometimes they go ahead and put you to work before the check is complete.

From my understanding;.. "If the Judge drops the mallet, it's on your record for life"....just saying.

Smaller Companies, or self-Employment is the future for trucking.... I would rather know my insurance agent "by there first name" anyway !. The bigger outfit's seem fairly abusive by nature and will always seek a way to destroy your relationship....just saying; again....lol

The ten year query is federally mandated for the application process.

it has been 2 weeks since they started the background check.have not heard from saia yet

i know one driver it took 4 weeks from start to hire, but i would drop by just to let them know you want the job.
