Biden expected to sign LTL driver pension relief package

What about the active Teamster employee. Those upstate NY Teamster conference retirees are salivating on their $67,000 dollar back pay check and their restored $5,000 and out at 30 year pension. Not so rosy for the active Teamster who will only accrue $3,500 and out at 30 years, due to accrual reductions. Not to mention the employer is still on the hook for $30,000 a year in pension contributions. I guess it won't be the last time the younger generation gets screwed by the BABY BOOMERS. The greatest generation sure produced a lot of duds.

It's better than a poke in the eye with a hot stick don't you think?

I guess you are one of those people who like to put a wedge between others. I think you stated you work for or did work for UPS so this doesn't even apply to you. Do us a favor and go trolling someplace else we are getting tired of listening to you. Have a great rest of your day and try getting a new hobby you will feel much better.

A hand out for a small group of people while the rest get nothing but the bill isn't the kind of change we need.
It is not a hand out, it is restoring our pensions which got destroyed thru no fault of ours. We worked for it, we paid into it, and we didn't deserve it being taken away. I wouldn't say the "rest" are getting nothing, $3500 for 30 years is a whole lot more money for active teamsters than nothing at retirement. Oh by the way MrPotatoeHead not every retiree receives $5000 a month.

Now that you have signed up for the government hand out, you are now on the hook for. Reparations, $50,000 dollars in student loan forgiveness, bailing out public pensions, the green new deal, sex change operations on demand. Between massive tax increases, reduced purchasing power due to runaway inflation and rising interest rates. In hind sight you will soon find out Grassley/Alexander would have been the wise choice. Welcome to socialist Hell.

Like I said before, chill out my brother you are going to blow a gasket ! Most of the garbage you are spewing will never happen. By the way your hero Grassley should retire, I wonder how much of a pension a 87 year old Senator can rake in ? If he and his Republican buddies moved a little faster for the last 4 to 5 years maybe we would have been working under his plan. But you know what the old saying is "you snooze you lose." :lmao:

Last time I checked UPS had 8,000 pre 2008 retirees. 45,000 post 2008 employees with accrued retirement benefits in CSPF. Not to mention it pays 58% of the bill for Western PA and 81% for the NY conference. CSPF is on the hook for 60% of my pension, the only thing butch lewis did for me, it will no longer be necessary for UPS to pay my pension a third time.

I got mine. Your kids won't see any inheritance because Biden will pass a draconian inheritance tax. Not to mention they are going to be crushed by crushing taxes. Paying bills you racked up.

A special thanks to Papajohn he devoted a lot of time and his own money traveling around to different states letting his voice be heard....
I asked PAPPAJOHN and his bud DOCKER many times if the pension warriors were going to be around for the "NATIONAL PENSION". With Social Security bankrupt, state and local pension funds being 4 trillion underfunded, the average American with no pension or employer matched 401k. The natural assumption is why not just combine all pension systems into a great big pie. Now that the Federal Government owns a majority share in 185 MEPF's. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to be the seed for the new "National Pension". All of you pension warriors need to read "LANI GUINIER". Bill Clintons quota queen, BIDENBAMAS pension expert. Enjoy your reading.

There are 164million working people in the United States. $89 billion divided by 164 million is 543. That means every worker in the US gets to pay $543 towards a pension that they had no moral obligation to do so. A good chunk of those people have no pension at all. The least the teamsters union could do is apologize for massive mismanagement of the failing funds and unkept promises rather than taking a victory lap, and I'm talking about the leadership, not the members.

I’m sure they answered you, if you would like to ask them again or any other question you know where to find them....

I can agree with the last part of your post.....the beginning not so much.....I'm a taxpayer too and I do pay taxes....alot of these "working people" have no skin in the game.....either they get some kind of government assistance or get a big tax "refund" (I put quotation marks around refund because they get more than they paid in)...my outlook on this is the government made the rules and made the funds buy Insurance from them, putting the government on the hook...

So that means it's even worse for those actually paying taxes. Maybe their share is more like $750.

Dude it’s over! Go fight your next battle. P.s. I’m enjoying socialist hell so far
