Me: No it's not. Grabs screwdriver and proceeds to unhitch the entire latching system including lock clear off the door. (The builder had left the bolt heads and screws on the wrong side of entire door system facing the outside.)

Yes that's why its not locked. Nothing broken.

Its locked and secure now. What are you going to do with such a crappy product?
