And producing electricity to charge thousands of vehicles is carbon neutral. How many power plants will California have to build to keep up with electrical demand. Tesla solar won't be able to do it, because you would need massage amount of land which they have as desert in California but then the environmentalist would block that due to what every endangered species lives within a hundred miles of that.

They will do even if it’s only on a very limited number if only to give the appearance of being partially carbon neutral. P R Stunt.
