i used to watch nearly every car restoration show, and see this procedure.

it scared the bejesus outta me, thinking with that weakened metal, it'll get dissolved. yes, even though it's gonna be professionally cut out and fitted properly with new metals. good thing i never got into resotiations myself, i'd be balder than i am now, seeing a ghost of a car come back.

also you can always see the hack body work done by the ever so professional, Mr. Bondo..........
