Out west I see Argus Tractors hauling FEDEX FREIGHT trailers. Are these guys Fedex Freight employees or contractors. Does FED/Frt use different contractors in different regions or actual employees?

Drake

You must be confused with FedEx National LTL and Freight.
FedEx Freight does not use contractors to pull FedEx Freight trailers.
FedEx Freight uses Purchased Transportation that supply their own trailers.
FedEx National LTL uses owner operators to pull their trailers.
I never heard of this Argus outfit.
Where are they located??
Or are you talking about the Freightliner cabover Argosy trucks

Argus brings us as much as we give them. It's a good deal.

We used to haul the Canadian freight straight to SEA until the rebid in April, then they cut the drivers who brought us the freight directly, put it onto meets, and it never got here in time to have in SEA by 00:01 for Argus to take back, so now it's on PT. How cool is that!
