Yep. Each crossing has their own method. Port Huron is selective; if they're using the shed, they only scan the trailer. If they use the lot, you go stand aside while they drive the scanner. Lewiston only does the drive by method. Detroit has two garages with built in x-ray machines that scan the whole truck.
The Ambassador still sucks, but at least you don't have to drive up Fort Street anymore.
Yep, they originally patented it when BD was running the southern route......they figured if he wanted some extra money, BD could probably bring a family of 9 back across the border with him if he wanted to.....
