City drivercity or line haul, driver interview ? pay is different ?
If I was you I would be very confused, you ask what you would think would be a very easy question and get six different answers. The current hourly wage is real close to 21.00 an hour and April first will go up about forty cents. The first year you make 85 percent of that wage, the second year 90 percent of that and the third year 95 percent. Finally in the fourth year you are at one hundred percent. The health insurance is very good. The pension is a disaster, they are only paying in twenty five percent of what they should be, it is very possible when the new contract happens, if the new contract happens, in April 2019 there will be some major shake up in the pension, but it is anybody's guess. What terminal are you applying at? If you can find a city driver from that exact terminal on here they could probably give you a much better explanation of exactly what to expect. Like the other guys said some of the terminals are begging for drivers so it should not be very hard to get hired if you have two hands and know that red is stop and green is go. Good Luck, the guys all bitch every day about the place but it is still better than average to work for.i have an interview with holland on tuesday. can someone give me an idea of what starting pay is, benefits, vacation time?
