This morning on my way back home(Chicago), I-465 was backed up due to construction. I didn't feel like waiting in traffic so I followed another driver east to I-65. It was only 13 extra miles, but it felt like it took forever!
What is a better alternate route?

it depends where on 465 the backup was, but you probably did the right thing as long as you dont have hazmat, if it was at 465 and 70 you can go the backway around the old airport
