Aw, the good ole days, I recall seeing the president of Local 71 walk across the dock with the terminal manager and tell the dock workers to slow down, you're working too fast.
Did I mention I also saw the same president go to prison for a different offense?

I know some Cherokees, not sure about Shawnees

I think the Cherokee tribe is more in the mountain counties than in Mecklenburg.
They have their casino in Cherokee County.

That's where my roots go to my great grandma into those mountains. Andrew Jackson caused a lot of men to die in those mountains trying to get my ancestors captured & sent onto certain death on "The Trail of Tears" to Oklahoma. Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians showed him the one fingered salute.

That example right there is why unions got such a bad name throughout the years. People working harder “not to work” than they would if they just did the job at hand. Job security, insurance, pay scale (prior to 2010), and many legal aspects to help a good worker keep his job were the things the union stood for that no one heard about. Bad news spreads fast.

Those aren’t carts? You wanna be a real man, push a 53’, 102’, with a double deck. That’s some serious people moving. No one sits at home either. You have one guy pushing and the other guy pulling. Just remain in order. Another thing is you have to split the tips after your shift and give 10% with a 15% reduction to the Big Guy.
