I've been out of the LTL freight business for almost 9 years now and I do not miss it one bit. Reading about the impending UPS Teamster strike and told my wife that I am SO SO SO glad I am not involved in the LTL mayhem anymore.
Don't miss the headaches, don't miss the road, don't miss any of it. I would NEVER go back into it and when I see a red racer on the road it reinforces my feeling of happiness.
All that to say this. I hope all of my Averitt people are doing well. Retirement is fantastic!
