I believe Kansas City does, or atleast they did a while back on a regular basis.[/QUOT
Are they using Cartage or the CRST moving the west bound freight?
Isn't it amazing how showing some gonads can work to your benefit?I guess they tried it in LO a while back and everybody walked out, not a strike but a work stoppage?? They say that haven't been back since!
Are there any barns in Holland's system that are allowing cartage companies to come in and get freight? If so please let it be known we are having problems in Nashville.
They were there 1 day, 4 straight trucks, didn't make a dent. If they just streamlined the hiring process, it wouldn't be so bad. All we're gonna get is warm bodies so, what's the point in taking 2 months to do it LOL.I guess they tried it in LO a while back and everybody walked out, not a strike but a work stoppage?? That I believe was why terminal manager got fired .Woolsey said there was no sense of urgency to hire drivers and there was a stack of old applications that had not been looked at to set up interviews. He has 9 interviews set up already.
Same with our TM, he didn't want to hire cause, he didn't want to layoff (what he said) but, we never slowed down really. everybodies maxed out on hours and tired, dock guys doing swap outs instead of breaking freight etc. The guy just won't listen to anybodyThat I believe was why terminal manager got fired .Woolsey said there was no sense of urgency to hire drivers and there was a stack of old applications that had not been looked at to set up interviews. He's a POS. Still waiting for the trailers of new forklifts he told us were just waiting for the YES votes. Told them he was full of s*** but the youngsters were frightened (along with older drivers that knew better) and listened to his bullcrap. That I believe was why terminal manager got fired .Woolsey said there was no sense of urgency to hire drivers and there was a stack of old applications that had not been looked at to set up interviews. Local cartage. I forget the name but they were using long nose freight liner and kw daycabs. It's been quite some time since I've been to KC though.
