New automatically downloaded version of Firefox if as slow as 14,400 BPS, what else is out there that's worth checking out? I'm using Chrome right now but I'm not too fond of it.
i tried so many others. they are all bloated with stuff that slows down things.New automatically downloaded version of Firefox if as slow as 14,400 BPS, what else is out there that's worth checking out? I'm using Chrome right now but I'm not too fond of it.
I see IE down there on the tool bar but haven't run that since it was the only kid on the block.i tried so many others. they are all bloated with stuff that slows down things.
i ended up with Chrome as my primary, IE as my back up, as no one can delete IE.
it's really not that bad. it has some speed to it. then too, chrome has a way of crashing with the java and flash player, as chrome has it's own version.I see IE down there on the tool bar but haven't run that since it was the only kid on the block.
I use safari on my iPhone and it works fine, never tried it on my laptop. I thought that the Apple stuff was immune to hackers.I had Safari on my mac,but a foreign hacker called Mac Keeper struck it down & locked up my computer.
So I switched to Firefox which is a lot slower.
Takes a long time to load sites, but so far so good keeping my computer running

There is NO known system that is "immune" to hackers.I use safari on my iPhone and it works fine, never tried it on my laptop. I thought that the Apple stuff was immune to hackers.
I’m not sure but I believe Apple actively searches for hacks, bugs, and viruses while Microsoft expects you to buy software. I don’t know if you can find antivirus, malware, type software for Apple products. BUT!!!!! I’ve been married three times. You can’t use my judgement. There is NO known system that is "immune" to hackers.
ANYTHING can be hacked as we've seen over the years and will see.
What and where did Mac keeper come from.I've had this mac since 2008 & it was bug free till that Mac Keeper showed up & shut me down on Safari.
Now Safari is locked & I can no longer use it on my computer.
That is the reason I]m on Firefox now.

Try uninstalling safari, restart, reinstall safari. I’ve had to do this with google several times. Thanks other trucker2001,however I couldn't do anything with that stupid site filling my screen.
After shutting down & rebooting it was still there.
So I had to stop using safari,& had to start signing on with firefox, which is better than nothing.
