Sad part is Drivers gave back -15% to help save them and got nothing in return , while Management stayed at full pay and they gave themselves Bonuses and Union Leaders that told us to take the -15% stayed at full pay , the only losers was the ones that gave back -15% .
Not quite, Puff. The work rules weren't 75 years old, and the work rules weren't a significant issue. The issues were: crushing debt load that slowly tightened the noose over 20 years; incompetent decision-makers who by and large refused to listen to the people who actually did the work; a percentage of the workforce who worked AT Yellow, not FOR Yellow; and finally a Teamster leader who clearly exhibited more bluster than brains. All of that is a deadly combination.
