Sadly, just like a bad driver, that tends to be the only way to get some people's attention anymore,,, $$$$$$$$$
Now if they just dig a little deeper and look at the terminal level of safety. One of my boss's doesn't even care if you have paperwork or placards on haz mat, if you don't take it he gets pissy with you, still refuse and the next day it will be on the dumbest but kisser he has smiling his day away, take it and get caught, they wash their hands of you and your fired plus have big fines to save your CDL. If any supervisor knowingly lets or tries to order a haz mat load to leave the dock with issues, they should be terminated on the spot. Who is there to step in and clean things up? A Safety person 1,000 miles away?
