ADuiePyle | New equipment orders

It is my understanding that Duie bought about 30+ new pre emission tractors a couple years ago and they are sitting in WC waiting to go into service. Don't know if they are for LTL, line haul or transport though.

all those tractors have been put into service already.
 
Never fear, ADP is buying 60 new tractors this year with around 130 coming next year. Looks like they will be split between Volvo's and Freightliners.

I HEARD!!! by 2013 there will be 300 new tractors, experimental volvos and cascadias will be first, of course I only heard this through somebody else in saftey..
 
heard the same thing about the volvos and freightliners from our smith system guy in albany too. freightliners are comming this year and the volvos are going to be automatics
 
they are coming

40 new tractors this year- 20 freight liners and 20 volvo's. total of 325 by 2013, plus another 225 new trailers. Some of the volvo's will be automatics not all.:bouncy::clapping::funky:
 
I had a volvo sleeper at my prior company.What a piece of crap!! Especialy the Cummins engine. Towed 5 times in a year. The trk had 750 miles when I got it
 
There will be different counts on how many and what kind. We'll just have to wait and see. 60 is the count for this year though. Got that from a very reliable source.
 
any employee who went to the company meeting were told how many were odered and what was coming in. The Volvo's all have volvo motors.
 
it seem so. They tested one for a long time, must not have been that good. In reality if you buy a mack, the motor is the new volvo motor. mack is owned by volvo, like most companies its one shared design.
 
Boy some of those old relic's they re-activated are pretty nasty... 3000-3100, they really need to put those to rest for the final time. I don't know which was worse? the noise, the vibration or the smell!!!
